Drake’s Gold is our sweet chilli sauce blending habanero chillies with the sticky sweetness of pineapple, creating an intensely more-ish and wickedly addictive chilli sauce that provides the fruit and the fire in equal measure. A real treasure.

We have heard reports from our repeat customers of a whole bottle of Drake's Gold lasting less than three days! Furthermore, Drake's Gold - Habanero & Pineapple Chilli sauce has been known to convert our more cautious chilli shipmates that wouldn't usually try a 'hotter' sauce that end up completely addicted.

The History
 
The year is 1580. The notorious privateer, sea captain and navigator, Francis Drake, has arrived back in England with a rich cargo of spices and Spanish treasure, and the title of first Englishman to circumnavigate ther globe.
 
In 1585, Drake was commissioned by Elizabeth I and tasked with laumching a pre-emptive strike against the Spanish throughout the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
 
 - It isn't that life ashore is distasteful to me. But life at sea is better -
 
Drake won a series of spectacular victories and his exploits made him a feared pirate to the Spaniards, to whom he was known as 'El Draque'.
 
Returning once more and laden with treasure of emeralds and gold, Drake sailed into Portsmouth to a hero's welcome.
 
Inspired by the great Sea Dog's voyages,  Drake's Gold is a deliciously tasty treasure fit for 'El Draque' himself.
